Why I’m Joining Camelback Ventures as an Entrepreneurial Engineer
I’m excited to announce that today will be my first day as a member of the Camelback Ventures team. Camelback is an incubator supporting underrepresented entrepreneurs developing early stage ventures through an intensive fellowship program. This year CEO, Aaron T Walker, and the executive team of the incubator decided to bring on Entrepreneurial Engineers, or startup coaches, to assist the founders through the process of the 6-month program. I couldn’t be more excited to join the team as an Entrepreneurial Engineer and look forward to working with my two designated ventures that are focused on pressing issues within the edtech space — preventive healthcare education and college admissions.
I look forward to getting in the trenches with these two founding teams and leveraging my experience as a former edtech entrepreneur and a current mentor for GSVlabs. If you have any insight, expertise, or general interests within the areas of digital health education or college admissions please contact reach out to me on twitter. Lastly for all those in my network who are experts in those areas (looking at you Chris Rosenbaum, Tony Zanders, Paul Perry, Vanessa Mason, MPH, Nasir C. Qadree, Sequoia, Betsy Ziegler, Leonard Medlock and others) expect a call, email, or smoke signal soon! A couple weeks ago I asked my network for advice on how to advise early stage edtech startups and I’m truly excited about pointing that knowledge to work. Be only the look for insights and learnings that I come across in this next chapter (or better yet next episode).
